A PASSION FOR JUSTICE FUELED BY DISCIPLINE AND DETERMINATION
Blaze’s path to the law was shaped early by both family influence and a genuine desire to help others. Born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, he was inspired by a close family connection to the legal profession (his cousin served as a Florida Supreme Court Justice), which opened his eyes to the powerful role attorneys play in creating meaningful change.
After moving to Orlando in 2007 to attend the University of Central Florida, Blaze continued to demonstrate leadership and dedication, serving as captain of the NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Team while completing all four years of eligibility. His academic focus in political science and criminal justice, combined with his natural inclination to work closely with people, reinforced his belief that the law could be a tool for guidance, advocacy, and impact. Ultimately, the opportunity to help people who felt lost or overwhelmed by difficult situations is what inspired Blaze to pursue a legal career.
After earning his Juris Doctor from the Florida State University College of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 2017, and being admitted to The Florida Bar later that year, Blaze began practicing as a civil defense attorney representing insurance companies in complex litigation. This was a defining moment in his career, as he gained firsthand insight into how insurance companies evaluate, deny, and defend claims as a civil defense attorney.
Witnessing the lengths insurers would go to save money, often at the expense of injured individuals, left a lasting impression on him. That experience fundamentally changed his perspective and clarified where his true passion lay. Rather than advocating for corporations, Blaze realized he wanted to stand up for people, especially those who were being denied benefits or coverage when they needed help the most.
Today, Blaze’s work as a workers’ compensation attorney is driven entirely by his clients’ needs. After a brief stint on the professional tennis tour, he chose a legal path, focusing on helping individuals harmed by workplace accidents and using his insider knowledge of insurance defense strategies to serve injured workers better. Blaze approaches every case with the belief that his clients deserve not only strong legal advocacy, but compassion and respect.
He strives to treat his clients like family, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and protected throughout the process. For Blaze, the greatest motivation comes from making a real difference in people’s lives, guiding them through uncertainty and fighting for outcomes they might not have known were possible.

Who is Blaze Schwartz: The Person You Want to Have in Your Corner
"I grew up in Pensacola, FL. My Dad was a pilot in the United States Navy, stationed at NAS in Pensacola. My mom was a professional racketball player and also worked full-time. I grew up playing many sports, including tennis, baseball, and basketball. I also spent a lot of time on the water fishing and boating. A large family surrounded me, and holidays were chaotic, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
Outside of work, I still enjoy playing sports, mainly tennis. I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my friends, family, and my dog. I enjoy spearfishing, diving, and staying active.
I am also involved in community service. I’ve been volunteering with Second Harvest Food Bank, providing food to those in need. I’m also passionate about donating to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital."
